History
- 1899 – the first furnace fed with coke on Polish land was run on the site of the present Foundry and the first castings were made.
- Period between WW I and WW II – The Starachowice Plants company became a part of the Central Industrial Area. Castings for an armaments factory were made in Starachowice (surface-to-air cannon were produced in Starachowice).
- After World War II – to 1993 – the foundries are a part of the Heavy Goods Vehicles Factory - production of castings for the motor industry.
- 1993 – 2001 – Foundries become a part of Grupa Kapitałowa Exbud, one of the first private Polish companies quoted on the stock exchange (privatization of the foundry).
- Since 1998 shares of Spółka Akcyjna ODLEWNIE POLSKIE are available on the Warsaw Stock Exchange GPW – our company was the first foundry on GPW in Warsaw.
- In 2002 the Company OP Invest takes over a controlling number of shares of Spółka Akcyjna ODLEWNIE POLSKIE. OP Invest is a private company of Polish entrepreneurs managing Spółka Akcyjna ODLEWNIE POLSKIE.
